This is us on our way to spend the day together for our anniversary. We have been married 11 years today. He asked me if I had something I really wanted to do on this day and all I could think is that I have been wanting to see "Fireproof"
I read the book and have been reluctant to start "The Love Dare" book. So usually once I read a book, sitting through the movie is kinda a waiste. Not so in this case however. Since our marriage has been usually for the most part "normal" and not without problems, I asumed the movie would be a good way to get things going in the right direction with a little visual help. So when the opportunity came to say what I wanted I suggested we go see it together. This is a piture just before leaving for the theatre.
Once we saw the movie, I was refreshed. A new way of seeing my husband and some pointers on how to deal in the future. He loved the movie as much as I did and though I left here with way more makeup than usual, I certianly didnt leave that place with hardly any on. It was just as awesome as I had made it up to be in my head. I would hope all that will be married, already married, dating, or might date in the near future go see this movie. In my heart I feel as the folks who wrote this movie were truly inspired by God to do so. It is worth the trouble you may have to face to see it. I also expect to see lots of marrages renewed because of the tools used in this movie. I love it and my husband!

Election 08
Well I am not sure what to think. First off the winner was not the one I chose but he still is the new president. I also feel like God has a plan and I am willing to see it through. I pray for strength for whatever comes of this. I have had a tough day all day long and so this may be why Im extra flipped out about this. I will pray for Obama just like I would for McCain if the tables were turned. I hope that I am all wrong and we will learn to love him. Hope is what I need and I wasnt feeling it with this man. Sorry so gloomy!

Update! Its been a while!
Well I will start off by saying that it has been a while and as much as I love to blog, I have just been a bit busy. To start I will say I have taken a soccer team again. I just love this perticular vonlunteer position but it has been a trying season. First problem was that I know nothing about U-8 soccer and thankfully I have been babysitting a little boy who does and loves to share his knowledge. Besides the unknown about U-8 soccer I have also run into some scheduling problems as well. Also some rediculous refereeing from other teams and some drama. I guess it waould be a bit much not to expect some drama considering there are 8 girls and 2 boys on our team. Anyways, we will finish off our season with a year-end party planned for this Sunday afternoon. We will be giving out trophies to our teams and having lunch with them. I do love this sport but I am tired. Looking forward to Spring U-8!
Next thing that I have been busy with is my passion. It is by far my fav. extra carricular activity for my daughter and it is Girl Scouts. I am a Daisy and Brownie troop leader and the area regisrar. I absolutely love this organization and what it teaches little girls. I have taken 2 troops this year and it is a challenge but I love it. We meet with one troop on Tue. and the other on Thurs. It cosumes several hours a week but the values are just wonderful.
The next thing I have souly devoted myself to was an 8 week Bible study that has taught me so much about myself and some folks in The Bible as well. I have met a few wonderful women and most definately made a few lifelong friends. I have committed my self to this study and I have put my soul into it. I do feel closer to God and a bit of knowledge is the plus. I hope to share some of the things I learned with some and to keep learning.
The next thing I have done is to try giving up my cigarettes. I have cheated a little bit but I have for the most part quit. I will not call myself a quitter yet but with prayer and good friends I should be able to very soon.
Last but not least by any means is I began reading the novel: Fireproof. It is the novel that was written along with the new movie. I love Christian movies and I have always been a fan of the movies this church has put out in the past.(Flywheel, Facing The Gieants) and I have been just going insane waiting to watch this movie. To my supprise, I got a letter from my sister and she had expressed her feelings for me and enclosed was a recipt. I looked over it and relized she had ordered me this book and the book that is used in the movie called "The Love Dare". It was a shipping ticket for when it would be shipped. Anyways, I finally got the books and that was it. I have completed the book from the movie and am begining on the Dare. This opportunity could not have come at a better time in my life and I am more inspired now than ever to see the movie. I also truly hope that it helps some folks in their lives as well. I watched an interview with the men who wrote the script for "Fireproof" and their hope in this movie was to hlep married and single people understand that divorce is not always the best option. It was a wonderful book and the movie just has to rock!!!
So As I was saying about my busy schedule, I have been consumed but not really overwhelmed. Tired? OH YEAH! I love what I am doing and I hope to be able to stay just as busy once some of these things slow down. Of course, only after I have taken some time to rest and rejuvinate myself from the fall events. I am just thankful to be able physically, to accomplish so much and still have an hour to tell you all about it.
Have a good week!!!!!!

Zuma Fun Center!!!
Me and Gabe are the youth directors at our Church. So we planned to take the kids to ZUMA FUN last Sunday. It was a blast! We took 13 people with us and sad to say there was 7 adults who went.
This is a "mark" on the arm band for not behaving on the go-kart track. No, this is not the arm of one of our children from church. It is the mark from one of our ADULTS from church. He just could not help himself but he had to bump every car within bumping distance of him. He was told if he got another "mark" he would be no loger allowed to ride! Way to go kelly!
This is me using all my tokens! I had no clue what in this world I was doing but I sure did like trying to. My sis grabbed the camera (after she scolded her hubby for being mean on the go-kart track) and started trying to catch me doing something silly. Well now you see I dont do silly things! (wink)
This is my sis and her hubby. They had a blast just like everyone else did. I am certian we will be going back there with them probably and not many kids. I happen to know that he had more fun than the kids did. Love you guys!

The last few weeks....
Friday night was the Central vs. Megs Co. ballgame. Our little girls participated in a cheer clinic in Aug.and in return got these shirts and an opportunity to show what they had learned at half time of the game. It was really cute to see all the little girls out there cheering for the home team. They had a blast and we were so hot. It was a very muggy night but the sun went down before the game got into full motion. It was not a great game because of the score. It was Central 55 to Megs 0. Yeah that was a big leap but it was unmerciful and neither team showed a great deal of sportsmanship. It was interesting but most of the interest was at half time!
SO this is me and my best friend from high school. Thanks to blogspot we have been able to see whats going on in each of our lives more often but I just love visits from her. I do hope my child and her future children have an opportunity to have great friendships like she and I have had. Oh the fun we have had. Check her out here:http://katbuad.blogspot.com/
This is also a friend of ours. This is my husbands best friends little girl. (This sounded way less complicated when I said it rather than when I spelled it)He is also a lot of fun to visit with but he doesn't live so far away. This is our little girls riding a four wheeler. A pink camo 4-wheeler at that. The friend did mention to Gabe that it was like a flashback watching the girls play because he could almost see the two of them doing those kind of things as small children too.
This is my cousin's little boy. I can think of nothing to say when I first saw this except: aaawwwweeeee they are way too little to play this. However, they are not too little! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. The already tiny uniforms just swallowed them up and they still got out there and played like the big boys do. I sat for an hour just giggling like a little girl and those tiny little boys. SOOOOOOO CUTE!
This is my beautiful sister. She just came from the beauty shop getting all her blond, curly, thick hair cut off. I just love it. I love also that she went the very next week and made me an appointment to get my chopped off too. I love mine too! She is also a very interesting part of my life. You just gotta love a sister! Love ya Tina!
