What I have been up to lately!

Well for starters, I have been overly consumed with life. I do not fuss at this kind of stuff because I need to keep my mind busy. I do have many things to seek God for comfort in but still no fussing. I dont like all the circumstances that surround me right now but I am grateful for the knowledge to thank God anyways for wisdom to learn and teach through the trials. My cousin is in UT Hospital for just having had open heart surgery for a bad valve in his heart. The things that make this more challenging is that he is only 36 and he has a 4 week old son that he is not allowed to pick up for likely 2 months. That has to hurt him way more than the surgery. However, in the midst of his pain, they offered to wait for a while to do the surgery but because of job insecurity he opted to have it done now. They came to him yesterday and told him that in his (DR) 20+ years of heart surgery, they had never seen a vlave so useless. Isnt God good and his timeing is "perfect".
I also have been looking in to a friends neice. She was born on Thursday then on Sat she was airlifted to a heart hospital and 1 day later her parents learned she would not survive without surgery and possibley not even with surgery. She did do ok with surgery but has come to some more bumps in her road. I pray her family will seek comfort the way I have and keep themselves strong for their little girl. I ask that you all say a prayer for this little angel. I believe God has a plan for her and again, his timeing is perfect.
I have been absolutely consumed by READING! I never was a big fan but now I am so consumed. I have read some really great books in the last few weeks and I feel like I will never stop reading books like this. Thanks a whole bunch to my friend Kathy who has given me some titles to check out. I am truly in love with the stories. Thanks Kathy
I will try to get back on soon and update you on my cousin and my friends neice if I can pull my head out of these books again soon. lol

What a beautiful boy

Here is the newest member of our family. He is so darn cute. He was a healthy 9lb 2oz 20 and1/2 inches calm sleepy little boy. I have been waiting so long for them to finally have a baby and what a great job they did. Mind you he is half grown but he is so sweet. What I hear he is a good baby too. I love this little fellow and his parents. I can hardly wait to watch him give them a run for their money.

Rain Rain Rain!!!!!

Well my husband went hunting for the past week and me and my little chick have been "ladies only" for almost a week and lovin it. However, when we called to talk to daddy he mentioned it was raining and messin with his hunting trip. He has expressed how horrible wet and rainy is was where he is. Well to noones suprise it has started here. I kept calling him to tell him how bad it was here but Ive got one on him now! It has rained so much, they cancelled school. It has flooded! Sadly she had already had her bath and gone to bed before I found out but she was hoping anyways. We had mentioned it was really bad on the country roads and it was possible but we were not sure. We will have a nice "mommy-and-me" day. Im glad we can without her being sick cuz due to experience, she will not like me much in the not so distant future so Im gonna take advantage of it while I can.

Wow! Its been so long!

Well hello everyone! We have had a very busy and interesting few weeks. We had a wonderful Christmas and a very different New Years. However, there will be no complaining. I am looking forward to all the numerous things I have committed my time to and hope I can recognize if its too much. Some of the things which are on the calendar this month are Girl Scout Cookie sales which will start on Jan. 16. Also my daughter has shown interest in basketball and I will assist her coach this season as a desperate attempt to make her take advantage of her height. Our New Bible Study will start up again on Thursday night and I am really excited about that. See I have only one child and am very blessed on so may levels to have her and only her but there was a time when I was very sick and couldn't do much with her and now that I am not sick, I insist on using every hour to mold and shape her into a good person whether it be in developing new skill or being involved in programs that encourage self sufficient living or em proving/learning myself how to better teach her to be those good qualities.
My little girl got herself a cute little puppy for Christmas. She is so cute and poops a whole lot. She also howls a lot and chews alot but she is very loved and that is all my Little punk wanted for Christmas. We not all she wanted but all she could say she wanted. She got lots of things for Christmas but she really enjoys the new puppy.
We also got a Wii. We have literally had close family members pull muscles and strain backs and sorre arms are everywhere around us. We love the Wii.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and make great decisions for the new year ahead. I will keep in touch as soon as all this business gets going.
